Welcome to Home Nanofactory. A home nanofactory will happen one day – we are sure of it. As computer hardware continues to shrink, methods of constructing matter from the smallest possible components gets easier and easier. These proposed nanofactories (see video below) would combine reactive molecules to build larger and larger atomically precise parts. These, in turn, would be assembled by small robotic arms to then build larger blocks of atomically-precise components which would continue to produce physical “life size” products.

A typical nanofactory would fit in a desktop box, not unlike the home paper-output printers of today. These printers will evolve into 3d printers capable of making plastic products, and continue in sophistication and computing power to make essentially any physical product. Please note that oo one has discovered an insurmountable problem with the underlying theories covered in the video below…
One thing is for sure – when home nanofactories are available, a severe world economic disruption would occur, as the scarcity economic model which has existed since the dawn of humans would migrate to a surplus economic model.
